About the Design

RYTMO

The Rytmo series is the epitome of striking and timeless design. The conical shape is complemented by the distinctive section at the chrome-plated base. As with other Mühle designs, these Rytmo designs ensure the piece sits perfectly when hung on its stand.

The Rytmo series is available in high-grade resin in black and blue, or in the form of natural ash wood. All color and material varieties are especially highlighted by the shiny, chrome-plated base.

In the stand design, a narrow plastic edge has been added directly to the metal. This piece prevents scratching of the shiny chrome surface, while ensuring you have an optimal brush and razor.

How to Use

Use and Tips

- Pre-shave preparation is important. Skin and beard should be softened during preparation, and this should only be done with lather obtained from cream or soap.

- The skin should be softened by applying the whipped cream-like shaving foam with a shaving brush. Moving the brush with the foam on your face for about 1 minute is enough to soften and stimulate the beard.

- Make sure your razor blades (Mach3/Fusion5) are not dull and are clean. A dull blade cannot cut the beard and damages the skin, leading to irritation.

- For the first pass, shave in the same direction as your beard growth. This direction is typically top-to-bottom on the cheeks but may vary on the neck. Every man's beard growth direction is different and cannot be changed by the cutting direction.

- Do not press. Especially with multi-blade systems, pressing the blade onto your face can lead to problems like ingrown hairs and razor bumps, as well as damaging the top layer of the skin, causing irritation and redness.

- After the first pass, reapply lather to your face with a brush or your hand. For the second pass, shave in the same direction or, for a closer shave, shave across the grain (e.g., from ear to cheek, or cheek to ear).

- The skin perceives each razor contact as an impact. After shaving, it is important to soothe this impact. Aftershave products contain highly soothing ingredients. If you experience problems like dryness, itching, or redness, use a balm. If you do not experience these discomforts, you can use a lotion for a lighter effect. Using both together is also common; you can apply lotion first, then balm.

- If your shaving brush is made of animal hair, you need to pre-soften it. Soaking the brush in warm water (never boiling) for about 1 minute, ensuring the roots are submerged, will soften the bristles and prepare them for loading. If your bristle type is Fibre (synthetic), you can wet it directly and start shaving.

- Shaving brushes must be rinsed very well after each use and left to air dry. Alkali buildup in brushes that are not rinsed properly at the base can cause bristle shedding over time, and this is considered user error.

- Do not expose the brush bristles to water that is too hot for your hand to touch. This will both damage the bristles and degrade the epoxy at the base of the brush.

- We recommend not applying excessive force to the handle while making circular motions with your brush.
