Tradition and Quality with you since 1920…
In 1920, Olave, Solozabal S.R.C was founded with the aim of producing high-quality revolvers. When revolver production was affected by the 1929 economic crisis, partners Olave and Solozabal decided to produce office supplies of the highest quality. It was during this period that they started selling their famous M-5 wire staplers, which they still hold the patent for today.
In 1938 and 1939, with the addition of new partners, the 5 families who are still partners today came together and decided to expand their product range.
Products such as pencil sharpeners, paperweights, adhesive tape dispensers, and perforators began to be produced. In 1979, an agreement was reached with a professional designer, and it was decided to also produce plastic versions of these products. Although many awards were received with the plastic series, it was not continued as it was not as popular with customers as the metal products. Following this, they returned to classic metal products and decided to develop them. New polishing and finishing methods began to be used, and special black velvet gift boxes were made for each product.
El Casco has continued to add new products to its range since 1993. Our aim is to offer you the best and widest selection of desktop office supplies. Despite all these changes and additions, the only thing that remains unchanged is our philosophy: always the highest quality, reliability, elegance, and success.
Production begins with the selection of the highest quality materials. Human labor is involved in every stage of production, quality control is performed at the end of each stage, and products with deficiencies go through the previous stage again. Today, each product is still polished by hand. Each product made of copper, nickel, chrome, and 23-carat gold is purified and cleaned in electrolytic baths. The water used in these baths is recycled and reused due to environmental sensitivity. The assembly of the final stage of the products is also done by hand, and their functionality is checked. To prevent any damage or fingerprints on the product at this stage, our personnel wear very special gloves and carefully place the products in their special boxes. Thus, our product is ready to satisfy our most meticulous customers.
In addition to our metal products, our folders and similar leather-covered products made from the highest quality leather are also offered to our customers with the most refined tastes. We can also custom-prepare our classic products for you and your company according to your wishes and satisfaction. We immortalize your logo with our silk printing and special engraving methods.
El Casco is headquartered in Eibar, Spain, but we have representatives in many countries around the world, most commonly in Europe.
