Enis, the owner of Sartoria Napoletana, first started tailoring years ago when he went to London to study English. A family friend offered him a job at Norton and Sons, one of Saville Row's most respected tailors, and it was there that he first experienced what bespoke fashion was all about. Later, when he returned to Istanbul, he worked full-time in some tailor shops and gained years of experience before establishing his own brand based in Naples - Istanbul.
Enis believes that in the inherently fickle world of fashion, there are trends that never truly disappear, and many of them can be learned by looking to the past. He draws inspiration for his designs from international fashion icons and some historical figures.
"I try to teach people what bespoke clothing is every day. The price of the clothing doesn't matter. Our prices are suitable for almost every budget. Bespoke clothing is a luxury, yes, but people are moving away from cheap products. If you buy five suits a year, don't. Buy two and make sure they are high quality. Create a budget for this. You don't have to be rich to dress bespoke or to have style."
Sartoria Napoletana products, with Enis's designs, are now available at Bonherre, where he plays a role far beyond that of a mere tailor to help people achieve a complete style.
