General Principle:

It is important to sharpen your razor before every shave.

Sharpening Process:

Secure the knife sharpening strop horizontally and taut (e.g., to a doorknob).
Place your razor flat on the strop, with the non-sharp side of the blade facing forward.
Slide the blade over the strop in an "X" pattern. This ensures all sharp edges of the blade are sharpened.
Keep this principle in mind for sharpening the blade: The blade should always be turned from the back of the blade, not the sharp edge.
Slide the blade over the strop with approximately 20 even and consistent hand movements (10 for each side).

After Sharpening:

The razor is now ready for shaving.

Razor Maintenance:

Razors require special care and attention.
The sharp edge must be protected from impacts or friction.
After each use, clean your razor carefully and store it dry.
If it will not be used for a long time, lightly oil your razor and keep it in a dry place out of reach of children.
