VIVO

VIVO, the third product group of the INTRO collection; In addition to offering classical forms, it is uniquely modern. The curved (and very ergonomic) shape of the handle tapers towards the chrome-plated base. The stems are made of both brown and black premium resin and reddish shiny plum wood. The contrasting curves of the sole are like the traditional first examples of traditional shaving products, while also guaranteeing you a solid grip. The shaving brush and razor fit securely on the handle developed specifically for this range. All VIVO shaving brushes are available with either pure badger hair or a vegan alternative, Black Fiber. Gillette® Mach3® or Gillette Fusion ™ as well as razor blades are also compatible with shaving equipment. All shaving brushes of the series have a knot diameter of 21 

The Material - Olive wood

Since ancient times, olive wood has been valued for its outstanding material characteristics and warm colouring. It is to be found throughout the Mediterranean region and has been used for centuries to make durable goods or artistic objects.
Without chrome the world would forfeit a lot of its lustre. In the finish used for our wet shaving accessories it demonstrates its best qualities: The material is corrosion-resistant, very long-lasting and has a luxurious, alluring lustre. When contrasted with this, the colours and shapes of other premium materials are shown to their very best advantage.

The Brushhead - Black badger

Black Badger hair is substantially firmer than any other badger hair and solid black in color. It suites shavers who value the backbone of a shaving brush and a tangible massage effect rather than the softness. The careful processing is done mechanically in accordance with the highest standards.

How to Use a Traditional Shaving Set?

Prepare shaving foam: Prepare shaving foam with warm water, a shaving brush and shaving cream or shaving soap. Wet your shaving brush with warm water and create a foam by whisking it in circular motions on the soap / cream in the bowl without shaking the brush. To make the shaving foam thicker and thicker, you can adjust the consistency of the foam by dropping a few drops of water on your brush.

Prepare your skin for the shave: Always shave during or after a hot shower for a flawless traditional wet shave. Apply foam to your skin to soften your skin and prepare your beards for shaving. The application of shaving foam with a shaving brush helps to remove the dead layer on the skin, while removing the beard and preparing it for a comfortable shave. Also, if possible, leaving the foam on your skin for at least 1-2 minutes will allow the beards to soften more and shave easier.

Step 1: Moisten the beard area, preferably with warm water, and lather it thoroughly with a brush. If possible, use a highly effective moisturising shaving cream or soap. This will allow the blade to slide over the skin more easily.  Make sure that the razor head and handle are firmly attached to each other, but only tighten the screw to the extent that it can be unscrewed without much effort.

Step 2: Now begin with the shave. Hold the safety razor at an obtuse angle (approx. 30°) to the skin. Start with the cheeks and allow the razor to slide over the skin, applying gentle pressure.  Always shave in the direction of the beard growth (with the grain).

Step 3: When shaving the neck, stretch the skin tight with your free hand. Do not be discouraged by small cuts or grazes. Once you have familiarised yourself with the razor, they will rarely occur.  For practised shavers: by slightly loosening the handle (approx. ½ a revolution) the angle of the blade is increased. This enables you to shave very cleanly in contours.  Always tighten the handle before continuing with the rest of the shave. Rinse - moisturize: Rinse your skin with cold water after shaving, moisturize, nourish and refresh with an aftershave balm or aftershave.

How to Use a Shaving Towel?

Before shaving, the shaving towel is moistened with hot water and placed on the area to be shaved. As the heat and moisture open the pores, the beards soften and your skin is prepared for a perfect shave.

After shaving, the remaining foam is rinsed with cold water and the skin is rubbed again with a shaving towel. Now your skin is ready to be moisturized and nourished with an aftershave balm or lotion.
